Product Description The Eva-Dry Electric Petite Dehumidifier uses Peltier Technology (no compressor) which makes it light and quiet. It is perfect for bathrooms, and small to mid-sized rooms where dampness and humidity are a problem. This unit is small enough to easily fit on your desk or workbench. It extracts the moisture from the air and stores it in a spill-proof reservoir. Just plug it in and it quietly dries the air. Features an automatic shut off switch to shut the unit off when the water reservoir is full. When this occurs a "full" indicator light will alert you when the reservoir needs to be emptied. Holds up to 16 oz.

Very surprised and disappointed August 19, 2008 First, I have never written a bad review for a product and am not a high expectation malcontent, just a guy with a very musty first floor/basement. After reading the glowing reviews, I thought I'd give this a shot as a supplement to the 2 other, full-size dehumidifiers I have going downstairs, each of which gets emptied about every 12 hours. With those in the main rooms, I tried this first in a back room without another dehumidifier, then the bathroom, then without the other dehumidifiers running at all and finally in a closed bathroom after having taken a shower, with wet towels and bathing suits hanging to dry. Regradless of the placement or time given to suck moisture out of the air, it never filled over the course of 3 weeks. Yes it's small and yes it's quiet, but I would have at least expected to empty it a couple times given what I put it through. Perhaps mine is just a lemon. Still, there are other quiet, albeit larger dehumidifiers that aren't ugly box eye sores in a room, and that do well with less than the optimal clearance around them -- like the Soleus 40 pint. This place is like the Betty Crocker Test Kitchen for dehumidifiers, and the Soleus is definitely the most quiet and efficient unit. If pulling a few tablespoons of water a day out of a humid room is enough, this will do that. But the unit I used was no more effective than a container of Damprid. And it's a shame -- I'd thought I'd found the perfect little solution.
Use it on my boat and RV August 15, 2008 This product was purchased to reduce the humidity on my enclosed cabin boat. Works great! I purchased a second one for my RV. Realize that it is small - but it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Will remove about 16 oz of moisture before it shuts itself off. I am very pleased and would recommend it.
Great little unit... August 9, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
Was having the shoes in my closet get mildew all over them during the humid days of last summer... got this and it took away the problem. However, machine only lasted a little over a year. Hope this new one will last longer... but it does the trick very well... if it lasts longer this time it will get a 5 Star rating from me!!!
love it!! August 1, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
Though several of the reviewers had written that this product didn't work for long, I've been using mine about 3 weeks and am LOVING IT. I use it in a small basement bathroom and it has made a tremendous difference. So happy to have found it, and I'm considering buying another for additional small spaces in my home.
Stopped working July 23, 2008 1 out of 2 found this comment useful.
Kept it in a small bathroom. Unit worked great for about two months. It gradually lost its abililty to dehumidify until it finally stopped working. I used it for four months.
