Product Description 100% Whey Protein Gold Standard from Optimum Nutrition. 100% Whey protein is now better than ever with 24g of pure, instantized whey protein and more whey protein isolates (WPI) the purestt source of whey protein available. Whey Protein Gold Standard now provides an even higher protein percentage by weight. This unique formula includes strategically hydrolyzed whey peptides, lactase and aminogen digestive enzymes to further enhance absorption. How is this formula different from their original formula? Most notably, ON 100% Whey Gold Standard? has been enhanced to include more of the purest, most expensive source of whey protein available: Whey Protein Isolates (WPI). By supplying more WPI, ON 100% Whey Gold Standard? offers a higher percentage of protein by weight, and more of the pure, unadulterated proteins you?ve grown to love. Of course, all of this comes without having to sacrifice any other aspects of quality, mixability, taste, and texture. Now with 24 grams of pure whey protein isolates, concentrates, and hydrolysates, over 4 grams of Glutamine and Glutamine precursors and over 5 grams of BCAAs per scoop, along with HYDROWHEY? strategically hydrolyzed whey peptides, and Lactase and Aminogen digestive enzymes, there?s little doubt ON 100% Whey Gold Standard? is the most impressive package ever to hit store shelves.

I would agree with other posts that this doesn't taste good, I also agree with other posts that this tastes good. Here is the thing, it is by far the best tasting protein powder I have ever tasted, but compared to a real milk shake it sucks, but what do you expect?? I would describe the taste as a cold/watered down instant cocoa mix. Not something I crave, but nothing like the other think chocky mixes on the market.
Best protein powder ever!!!! July 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
I've been lifting weights for 19 years now and have tried almost every protein powder out there, and ON's 100% Whey Protein is the best, hands down! I've been a customer for 10 years now. Best in taste, best in protein content, and best in mixing! I don't think it's the cheapest protein powder out there, but I know it's not the most expensive either. Still a great deal for what you get! Buy it, you won't regret it.
Best protein supplement ever used June 25, 2008 First off ON gold standard protein is the best on the market. Hands down. You won't find another brand out there offering its protein packed with BCAAs and almost 5g of glutamine. Sure it costs a bit more, but when you consider quality, the cost/benefit ratio of ON gold standard FAR outweighs competitors. Plus they're low cal, low sugar, low fat. Just amazing.
Taste: I've tried vanilla, banana cream, and rocky road.
1. Banana SUCKS! (Granted this was ON casein protein, but still) Stay away from it at all costs.
2. Vanilla - acceptable, tastes fine with water or milk. Good base for making smoothies
3. Rocky road - the BEST standalone whey protein I've ever tasted. Just add water or milk and it tastes amazing.
Final word of advice: pick up a tub of whey and another of casein. Take the casein prior to bed for a slow burn that will keep the body anabolic throughout the night. Take the whey just about any other time you need to supplement. It metabolizes extremely fast and gets to the muscles quick.
Don't mess with the other BS protein schemes. Just stick with casein and whey. best of both worlds and you can even mix them for an immediate recovery shake with sustained energy.
great protein June 24, 2008 This is a great deal. It tastes great and 10.5 pounds for $80, that's a heck of a deal. I got the dbl rich chocolate.
Tasty Whey June 21, 2008 This stuff is really tasty. I put it in a shake with berries, milk, and ice cream. The stuff work really well. It brakes up easily in water if you don't have time to make something with it.
