4 out of 5 stars Great item for the $$   July 10, 2008

I use this product on patients as a screening. You must follow directions exactly. Bent left arm, Left wrist at heart level, palm up, sitting position, empty bladder. If reading is high, I usually ask if the patient has had any recent caffeine or nervous for appointment. I wait 10 minutes between readings per the directions. It's been surprisingly accurate for the past 6 months.

5 out of 5 stars Worked Perfect for over 2 years   June 15, 2008

I've read other reviews and felt I needed to add my 2 cents. I had open heart surgery 2 years ago. I purchased this wrist cuff monitor at least 6 months before that. I knew I was having trouble so I took this cuff with me everywhere. Sometimes I would check my heart rate 6 or more times a day. It was always very accurate. I would take it in to my appointments and it was always fun to test it against what the doctor got. It was always within 3 or 4 points of their readings. I really needed it for the heart rate more then the blood pressure. I had to make sure my rate was low. I'm just now looking to replace it. I've worn the poor thing out.

Having your BP read in the wrist is so much more comfortable and convenient.

I see there are less expensive cuffs offered here on Amazon.com but, I hesitate to try another one because of how well this cuff held up for me. I don't know what would have caused the other customers to have bad luck with theirs. I say give this one a try, if it isn't accurate (check it at your doctors a few times) then return it and try another brand.

I bought this for my Elderly Parents because it is so EASY to use. They love it.I am in Healthcare and found this to be the most accurate B/P monitor. After buying this one,I bought another one for my husband who has High Blood Pressure.I would buy and highly recommend this product for anyone.

1 out of 5 stars Dangerously Inaccurate   January 14, 2008

My blood pressure tends to run a little high so my doctor recommended I monitor it over the course of a month. So I bought this blood pressure meter thinking it would be a convenient and hassle-free way to monitor my blood pressure at home without having to go out to the gym or other place where they had a BP machine. Boy was I wrong. I can't get an accurate reading off this monitor, and yes I've read the instruction manual. Just tonight it showed me as being 195/120 which is in the "stroke danger zone" and I freaked out. An hour later, I'm 131/68 which seems to be closer to my typical range. I get wild variations in the readings even as much as 20-30 points within just a few minutes. I just don't know which to trust. I've decided I'm taking it back and trying another model. I'm very unimpressed.

5 out of 5 stars Easy to use with accurate readings   October 20, 2007
Fast and easy to use with accurate readings that compare time and again with the old fashioned cuff readings down by our RN.
