Product Description
INDICATIONS: Licefreee Non-Toxic Lice Treatment for the treatment of head lice, pubic (crab) lice, and body lice. Licefreee! Hair Gel is a non-toxic alternative that uses that naturally occurring mineral, Natrum muriaticum (Sodium Chloride, USP) as the active ingredient to kill adult lice, nymphs and nits (eggs). The clear gel goes on dry hair easily and has a soft, herbal spice scent that makes application pleasant. The homeopathic formula is safe for multiple applications and there is no harmful pesticide residue left on the hair or scalp. Licefreee includes a patented stainless steel comb for easy removal of lice and their nits. Helpful Hints: Self-medication is not advised since it is impossible to inspect yourself for nits and lice. Some initial stinging may occur when using this pediculicide. Adult lice bite the scalp leaving tiny holes or lesions which cause itching. LiceFreee! may cause some minor discomfort, but it should go away after about 10 minutes. Head Lice: Head lice live on the scalp and lay small white eggs (nits) on the hair shaft close to the scalp. The nits are most easily found on the nape of the neck or behind the ears. All personal headgear, scarves, coats and bed linen should be disinfected by machine washing in hot water and drying, using the hot cycle of the dryer for at least 20 minutes. Personal articles of clothing or bedding that cannot be washed may be dry-cleaned or sealed in a plastic bag for a period of about 2 weeks. Personal combs and brushes may be disinfected by soaking in hot water (above 130 F) for 5 to 10 minutes. Thorough vacuuming of rooms inhabited by infected persons is recommended. Kills head lice, crab lice and body lice. No harmful pesticide residue. Safe for repeated applications. Pleasant aroma. Permethrin, Pyrethrum and Lindane free.

5 out of 5 stars Best Shampoo Available   October 24, 2008
My kids kept coming home from school and their many cousins' houses with head lice. We tried RID, NIX, Cetaphil, and vinegar/mayonaise partnered with the RobiComb. None of it worked, we battled head lice for 4 months and spent several hundred dollars on treatments, sprays, and laundry soap.

Finally, I got sick of repeatedly putting pesticides on their heads and found Lice Freee. In one treatment, it killed all lice and their eggs. The eggs are easier to remove from their hair (I used Neon Nits to color the eggs pink and found them all quickly for more thorough removal.), it smelled great, and it didn't burn my kids' eyes. The two bottles were big enough to treat the whole family of four (my daughter and I have long hair), with enough left over to treat the two kids again.

I partnered the Lice Freee with daily combings with the RobiComb, which caught every single microscopic bug they brought home from school. Since the comb caught bugs they brought home from school, no new eggs were ever laid. I have not found an egg and have not had to treat for head lice in 5 months. All 9 of the cousins have had the same treatment, are combed with the RobiComb daily, and have stayed Lice Free.

Lice Freee works great if you already have a lice infestation, but to avoid lice altogether, I highly recommend buying a RobiComb and using it every day, even after the infestation is gone. You will catch anything your kids bring home within 3 minutes and prevent another infestation. The comb is about $30 but entirely worth it compared to the cost of a lice infestation.
