Works, just like the brand name product July 17, 2008 After comparing the ingredient and dosage list on the box I always opt for the cheaper generic. This one qualifies.
Consider number of and convenience of Mucinex 12 hour March 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
I've used guaifenesin for years and it does help immensely. I would choke to death without the stuff. I just wanted to point out that Mucinex has a 12-hour extended relief pill that you only take twice a day. I prefer the 12-hour pill because it's to easy to forget to take the 4 or 6 hour pills. I haven't compared prices.....but I know I wouldn't take it as needed without the 12-hour pill.
Guaifenesin tablets December 9, 2007 Very affordable alternate to in-store Mucinex, for someone who needs to take this on a long term basis.

This is the fourth (or fifth) multiple order of Guaifenesin I've placed with this vendor. In the past, this drug was prescribed to me for a reasonable co-pay. When Mucinex entered the market, insurance carriers would no longer cover it; so for about a year I had to cough up (pun intended) the premium price for the name brand.
Fortunately, I eventually found this vendor. Although all guaifenesin is a synthesized version of a plant derivative, this formulation seems to behave identically to Mucinex for me. You do have to do a little math to get the same dosage if you are used to taking Mucinex.
The brand "Kirkland Signature" is a co-brand (store brand) of Costco. The only thing I can say in this regard is that for the product I have consumed, there has not seemed to be any variance in the consistency of the product. It is important to drink the recommended glass of water when taking this medication. The water is necessary to assist in the thinning of mucus.
The service has been excellent, as has shipping time. If you are considering a reasonable alternative to more expensive brands without sacrificing effectiveness, you may want to consider trying this product.
