Product Description Teeter Hang Ups EZ Up Inversion System
Amazon.com Product Description The Teeter Hang Ups EZ-Up inversion rack offers a full body stretch and is a great tool for inverted exercises (like crunches, sit-ups and squats). Full range inverted sit-ups become ten times tougher than horizontal sit-ups--with minimal load on the back. It installs to the top of a door frame, but does not interfere with the function of the door, and takes up no floor space--ideal for cramped living spaces. The EZ-Up inversion rack is compatible with optional Teeter Hang Ups Gravity Boots. Designed for the fit and flexible user, it offers a safe and convenient method of full inversion. The dual bar system is designed for easier mounting and dismounting, and allows you to hang free from the door frame for maximum range of motion. Feature Detail: - Sturdy materials assembled with bolts (no welds)
- Adjustable for doorways 28" to 36"
- Locking brackets are mounted with screws in the door frame for security. Locking pieces snap over the rack to keep it in place, but can be unlocked to remove the rack from the door frame. In place, the rack will not interfere with the operation of the door.
- Door savers help protect the door frame from damage.
- Easy-to-reach handles provide help to the user for moving into and out of the inverted position.
- Double-bar system places the user out and above the door frame for extra height and full range of movement. You don't have to bend completely in half to mount and dismount the rack.
- High-quality, scratch-resistant powder-coating
- Foam hand grips make mounting and dismounting more comfortable, and help prevent calluses and slippery hands when performing chin-ups.
- Weight capacity: 250 pounds
Note about installation: The EZ-Up inversion rack must be installed in a solid wood door frame constructed according to national building code standards. Great! November 23, 2008 It works as advertised and my back feels alot better after hagging a few minutes a day
Great even after years of use. October 21, 2008 I bought a pair of these in 1992 for training purposes. They worked great until last year when one broke. No big deal since they lasted as long as they did under extensive use, ~15 years! I am 6'2" 220lbs. and these babies survived a lot of punishment for a while.
I just recently purchased a new pair because there is nothing like inverted crunches to chisel your abdominals. The other plus is that they really help to decompress my spine after workouts. Great simple tools that last a long time are always good in my book. Enjoy!
Used these for close to 15 years October 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
I have used the spyder inversion boots for about 15 years, on and off. As I am not exactly a feather-weight (weight fluctuates between 210-240) this is a pretty good test. I am buying another pair as the strap on one broke (not in use - I suspect my son was messing with it) I even tried hanging with one broken strap (Do Not Try This At Home!) and they held up fine, but it made me a little nervous and my wife said it was OK to replace them. I don't do a lot of inverted sit-ups but just hanging or traction and hanging/twisting feels great on my back. As far as retinal damage - hasn't happened to me yet. If you have blood pressure issues - definitely talk to your doctor and therapist. Your mileage may vary. Don't hurt yourself and if you do, it's your fault.
Excellent October 4, 2008 I will admit, when I bought this product, I wasn't 100% taken by it. I've been using it for a month now and I feel great! I feel loosened up and stress-relieved, joints that used to pop with every movement don't anymore, flexibility has definitely increased, and using the inversion is really quite comfortable. I recommend this product to anyone and everyone.
Definitely helps with the bulging disc September 11, 2008 Work as advertised, and seem sturdy, with thick, firm cushioning...for those looking to stretch your spine to alleviate back pain associated w/bulging discs, I can say they definitely help.
However, the removable calf loops seem like just a gimmick...they don't create any bend in the knees...they don't do anything, other than get in the way when putting the boots on and taking them off.
Also, even with the thick cushioning, there is most definitely some strain placed on the ankles...took me a week or two to get used to that, but if you have weak ankles, or a low tolerance for discomfort, you'll probably want to just go for the inversion table.
