The best thing about these tampons is they work great. The next best thing is they are so small that they fit in the palm of my hand and I can carry many with me in my little purse. It also makes me feel better when I don't add additional plastic to the environment so the no applicator style is a perfect pick for me.

I haven't come across any other applicator-free tampons but OB. They're very convenient and it's no exaggeration they've made a difference in women's lifestyles.
You can now get them in four different sizes. Which one to use on which days really depends on how heavily you bleed. From lowest absorbency to highest:
regular (pink) - light flow
super (green) - moderate flow
super plus (yellow) - heavy flow
ultra (purple) - for the really heavy bleeders
