Product Description Take two-they're small. And they perform miracles. Suffering a career-ending, potentially crippling injury to her back and right leg, a young dancer named Elaine Petrone tried everyone from orthopedists to yogis to turn her pain and prognosis around. Nothing worked-until she healed herself through a unique program of therapy and exercise based around the use of two small, squishy balls. From there she turned her passion into a mission that is helping the thousands of people who visit her classes conquer pain, stress, and injury.
Now, for relief for sufferers everywhere, comes The Miracle Ball Method, a healing kit containing two miracle balls and a fully illustrated book, all packaged together in an attention-getting clear plastic cylinder. The work itself is simple. Take a sore back: By resting your aching back on the grapefruit-sized balls and letting your body sink into them, you're unworking the muscles that hurt. Pain and tension drain out of the body. Petrone shows how proper breathing (which she demonstrates) works in conjunction with a range of unexercises that call for placing the balls under the back, head, knees, hip, elbow-wherever there's pain-and then resting, rolling, or rotating on them. She points out that relief can come in surprising ways: Lower back pain may be helped by placing the ball under your neck, or a bad knee might be helped by hip work. It's arevolutionary program of relief, from head to toe.

Very helpful and effective November 15, 2008 I have lower back pain from being a stomach-sleeper all my life. These little balls really have helped with the pain. And I like using them on other parts of my body just because it feels so good (they really help elicit the relaxation response). My only complaint is that I wish there was a DVD that came with them instead of a tedious little book. It can be hard to hold the book in one hand and read the instructions while trying to position the ball under you with the other.
These little balls did very little to help my pain. November 4, 2008 1 out of 2 found this comment useful.
I am disappointed with this product. Most of the exercises are basic stretches, which do not require the balls. The balls do feel good while using them, but do not provide relief beyond that. In fact, I'm not so sure that they don't make painful areas worse. The smell of the balls is horrendous. I have no idea why everyone has written so many good reviews. I've had several of my friends try them out also and they think that they're just a waste of time. I would certainly not purchase again.
Great product November 3, 2008 I'm a massage therapist and this product helped me to take care of my patients (most of them have been through a car accident), with excellent results, when it is too painful to receive deep tissue massage. It has the advantage of targeting muscles and fascia (connective tissue) deep into the hips and thorax, so it helps me to give a very complete treatment. Just a note, I ordered some of the used method, to have one set at every office I worked at, and the books came without the miracle balls.
Using Miracle Balls as part of shoulder rehab October 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
I broke my left shoulder and had to go to physical therapy. My therapist would do trigger release to loosen up the tight muscles. Additionally, she gave me some stretches and exercises to help rehab the muscles. Although I am not 100% range of motion, she was impressed how close I am to being 100% in about 90 days. I told her about the miracles balls and it made sense to her. I was able to mimic the trigger releases, and the therapist even recommended lying on my side and placing the ball under my armpit to loosen the rotator cuff. I do 4-5 miracle ball stretches every morning before I do the stretches and exerices from the therapist.
Miracle Ball October 15, 2008 Excellent packaging as well book and exercise balls. The small size book allows me to put it into my pocket and read it at anyplace (airplane, bus, park, etc). Miracle small balls are excellent for my daily practice and can carry them in my briefcase. So far all my exercises have been very productive since book lessons are clear, succint and motivating. Key results of the exercises: Great reduction on stress, overall body stiffness and lower backpain. Thank you Elaine. Joseph
