3 out of 5 stars Too early to tell?   November 27, 2008
I've been using this product for just about a month and it is big and bulky, but didn't take long to adjust to sleeping while wearing it.

I work on my feet for 9 hours a day, so by mid-day my foot is really hurting regardless of if I had slept in the splint the night before or not. But I don't get that first jolt of pain when I take my first steps in the morning when I use it.

I am starting to see a bit of wear and tear on the middle strap, but the other 2 are holding strong.

I took the advice of other buyers and bought a smaller size than recommended and it's a perfect fit.

5 out of 5 stars This night splint worked for me!   November 13, 2008
After suffering for 8 weeks with plantar fasciitis, having a cortisone injection, wearing a shoe insert, and ultrasound treatment, I decided to try the night splint after reading the reviews. What a difference it made - after three nights of wearing the splint, and doing the exercises in the 5-minute P/F solution book, my pain decreased by 80%. I ordered a size smaller as recommended and it was a great idea - expected to have difficulty sleeping with it on, but it is very lightweight and I had no trouble at all. I limited walking in it to nighttime bathroom trips. Was well worth the money!

1 out of 5 stars not comfortable, and doesn't put the foot into 90 degree angle   October 20, 2008
I bought the smallest size and yet it is very loose inside and that makes the foot go into the relaxed position anyway. So, I don't think it will work. I see no relief yet. Also, the valcro part is bigger then the strep below it so it rubs on the skin and hurts, I had to cut it and make it more narrow.Since I cut it, now I can't return it, so for me, I think it was a waste of money. I do not recommend it to anyone. Hard to sleep with it too.

4 out of 5 stars Good; however not great   October 9, 2008
The product works well; however, I would hope other boots work better. I don't feel it puts the foot at a 90 degree angle. I use the 5 degree pad PLUS about two inches of rolled-up material under my toes to get a good stretch. They are right that you shouldn't walk much in this boot - it's fairly flimsy. Walking would ruin it pretty fast. The boot is also a bit narrow at my ankle. I put additional material around my ankle bone to keep it from developing a painful pressure point. A decent choice overall; however, not totally satisfied.

5 out of 5 stars This really works!   September 1, 2008
I suffer from Plantar Facistis occasionally. So when my heel started hurting, I knew what was coming.
I tried to do the stretching exercises before getting out of bed, but I still had pain upon arising. So I went online to Amazon to see what they had. I read the reviews and decided to try this.
Well, after a week I can say that this boot works! (I also use inserts and have been wearing better shoes as well.) But in the morning -- no pain upon walking.
Do pay attention to the comments about the sizes. It does run large. I wear a Woman's size 10 and ordered the medium. And even then it seems just a bit large.
It takes some time to get used to when sleeping, but hey, I can handle that better than the shots in the foot!
And, I don't take it off at night when I have to get up and so far it seems to be holding up quite nicely.
