slow but sure November 4, 2008 This product worked very well on my warts. My foot had grown skin over the warts so it took a while to remove the skin over the warts and then the warts. I put Nexcare paper tape over the pad to hold it on. The Doctor suggested leaving the pad on two or three days for it to work best, but that means not getting it wet. My daughter had a fast growing wart and we had to go to the foot Doctor for that because it kept growing back. He put some sort of acid on the wart and it did kill it permanently on his first try, but the mediplast had kept tough skin from growing over the wart so that helped his treatment work the first time. These things are acid though so monitor your foot. I went for a walk in a creek and didn't take the pad off immediately and got a nasty infection from the pad being wet and the creek germs. Keep an eye on your child's wart removal progress as they may not recognize that their skin is getting too irritated or even infected or that their wart needs medical treatment from a Doctor.
good stuff, but requires A LOT of patience June 21, 2008 This mediplast stuff is very good at what it is written...to remove warts. I use it regularly and as a user I can tell you that it requires a lot of patience. This is not an overnight, one quick solution to heal warts, it can take many months to work becasue warts are extremely persistent and hard to get rid of. This stuff is very good but is very bizarre; it is 40% acid which causes the skin you put it on to dry up and die. The concept being that if the acid goes deep enough, the infected skin will fall out.

This is the best home treatment for warts that I personally use and recommend for my patients. It needs a tape applied over it to keep it in place so the recommended type is Kendall Wet-Pruf which holds as well as any tape. This Mediplast will treat many more times than much more expensive OTC products containing the same active ingredient (salicylic acid).
