5 out of 5 stars One of my best buys !   November 8, 2008
I have purchased this exellent grand text that deals with the field of physical-therapy. I consider this book to be a total value of my money at the price I bought it (49$). I appreciate it's background coverage & focus on evidence additions.
As a physical-therapy student I clearly recommend this reference from the very start. I bought it a bit late (4th year).
If one Should seek a more in-depth coverage in the exercise physiology department, I recommend the following book, which is user friendly:
Exercise Physiology: Human Bioenergetics and Its Applications

3 out of 5 stars Could be useful   October 1, 2008
So far, it has not been that useful in school but the book is full of a lot of information that should be very useful in the clinic.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect   August 23, 2008
I am quite athletic and injured some muscles/tendons. I was in physical therapy and wanted to know more about why specific exercises were helping more than I had expected. This is a perfect book for the aging athlete who will start getting more and more minor problems from wear and tear, that seem to take longer and longer to heal. This book describes quite clearly and completely activies that help both in prevention and recovery. The knowledge it contains will help anyone heal as quickly as possible and avoid reinjury.
