Primarily used for managing chronic pain. Works by blocking the pain signal, and by increasing endorphins in the body. Can be worn all day or on an as needed basis. don't waste your time or money on this product. the battery life is so minimal it is worthless. also check the restocking fees! they are OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!! customer service is horrible!!!

I rented a TENS unit from my chiropracter for $46 a week. Purchasing this for $44 for the same machine seemed like a logical buy. It works great and I've even recommended it to other people.

I have been using a TENS Unit for about 20 years. The one I have is still working but when I viewed the price on this one I had to buy it. The one I have is from one of the major manufactures. It cost in excess of $700 and there current model still cost in that range. This unit on Amazon can do everything my older model does and do it just as well. Not long ago you had to have a physician's prescription to buy these and a lot of places still require a prescription. TENs technology has been around a long time and hospitals often use them for pain after surgery. I use mine for low pack pain. You can use them on many places on your body. Electrode placement is very important in the success of relieving pain so buy a small book or download from the Internet just where to place electrodes for your particular problem.
These really do work for many people. The price is an absolute steal. Also order extra electrodes as you only get four with the unit. They are reusable and depending on your activity can last up to 10 days. I wear mine from about 8am-5pm each day and it cuts my low back pain perhaps 60% or more. You cannot go wrong on this purchase. I wear mine attached to my belt as it has a removable clip for wearing on the belt. You can just stick it in a shirt pocket. Remember you will have either two or four wires going from the unit to where ever you attach the electrodes. I only need two. I have found a pack of 40 good quality electrodes for $10 plus $10 shipping. That is about a cheap as you will find them. They are about 2" x 2" for most uses although you can buy larger ones for special uses.
Tens Units really work. You have various programs that you set (easy) and you can easily change the power setting on the go. I rarely ever have mine about 4 out of 10 as this particular unit is powerful. You use a regular 9 volt battery, chargeable, or just throw away. Amazon has two units that look just alike. They come in the same case with the same accessories. One just has a few more settings. Good luck.

This is my first personal TENS but I have used them at my therapist's office. This one is very easy to use and very portable. I am pleased with my purchase.

This product works as advertised. I was pleasantly surprised that it even came with the 9V battery - thats a nice touch.
Somehow it turned itself on and killed the battery. I think I must have bumped it and it restarted the 30 minute timer again. I will be more careful next time. If it happens again I will remove the battery between uses.
