4 out of 5 stars Good stuff.   September 9, 2008
Product was backordered but came in nicely packaged and fresh no where near the exp. date.

5 out of 5 stars Great protein shake   September 1, 2008
Muscle Milk is one of the best supplement/protein shakes I've tried. I've it on a daily basis as a protein supplement, and as a meal replacement on multi-day backcountry hiking trips.

Taste best when blended in a mixer, but it mixes easier with a spoon than most shakes I've tried as well. Chocolate really tastes like a chcolate shake, it doesn't seem to have the medicinal taste that many other shakes I've tried do.

I've tested it in my diet for almost a year now and the performance gains are noticeable. In comparision I've used BSN Syntha 6 and EAS 100% whey (doesn't have the supplemental nature of Muscle Milk).

My only negative is it's a bit pricey.

5 out of 5 stars Best Protein Powder with a great selection of flavors   August 28, 2008
The one problem I had with protein powders was how lumpy the mixes were or the aftertaste. Well, I have been using this protein powder for a few years now, the list of flavors are great and I love how well this powder mixes (I recommend the turboshaker). I use it for a quick midmorning pick-me-up, after my rigorous workouts and before bedtime. You won't be disappointed with this product.

5 out of 5 stars Great Taste!   August 18, 2008
I have tried a few different protein products, and this one works well, and tastes good. It does have more fat than others, but it tastes a lot better. If your thin and trying to gain muscle and weight overall, this will work great. Be ready to buy a new tub every few weeks.

5 out of 5 stars Banana is great added to oatmeal!   August 2, 2008
I've been trying to boost my protein intake with non-meat options (red meat doesn't sit well with me and one can only eat so much chicken). :-) I heard so many good things about Muscle Milk that I had to try some when I found it on sale (unfortunately not on Amazon.com). I purchased the banana because I wanted a different taste from the standard chocolate/vanilla fare out there to give some variety. My initial impression of the flavor of this powder is that of Banana laffy taffy (my favorite candy!). My favorite use for it is to stir a scoop into a big bowl of traditional (not instant) oatmeal.

The powder easily dissolves in milk and water with minimal shaking and stirring. One thing I noticed that not many others have pointed out is that Muscle Milk is much lower in cholesterol than many other brands of whey powders (8 mg versus 20 mg in another name brand that I'm looking at). The formula I have also has some dietary fiber in it (hard to get enough in the modern American diet!).

The only drawback to this shake is that you don't want it to sit for very long once mixed. I made a shake prior to my workout and put it in the fridge and when I grabbed it out of the fridge, crystals had formed in the shake! But other than that, Muscle Milk is excellent for meeting my nutritional goals!
