I've been using the Omron for a month now and like is very much. It's reasonably pricedOmron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer, user friendly and the directions for the initial set up are easy to follow. My only disappointment has been in trying to calibrate my stride distance with a known number of miles that I walk each day. Whether I set my stride at 2' or 2'6", I cannot get the pedometer to register the correct number of miles that I walk. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

I am relieved to have purchased a pedometer that I perceive to be accurate and comfortable enough to wear all day long. If there is one improvement, it would be an option that allows the figures to read either upside down or rightside up (It's hard to read the pedometer while you are wearing it.). This is the first review I have ever written and I am doing it because I appreciated all the reviews others had written which led me to decide to purchase this product. Thanks, everyone!
Excellent August 13, 2008
I was not sure how a Pedometer would be any use, but I find this product and it's multi function to be very excellent and I enjoy discovering how far I've walked, and how much was aerobic and calorie count, etc. Excellent equipment and would not want to be without it.

I brought this on vacation, as it involved a lot of walking. It works great in your pocket as long as the pocket isn't too deep, and it's pretty accurate! Seeing how many steps you take really encourages you to walk more, therefore being more active and fit!! Pretty easy to program as well.
