These are so good. My husband and I heard about these through friends. They however are disciplined to take two each after their evening meal in place of any kind of dessert. On the other hand, we ate them all day long. They are expensive but so good.

I have phenomenally high HDL (>100), which is great, but my LDL was creeping up---it got to 160. I'm vegetarian. I cut out nearly all dairy fat, added ~15 almonds/day and ~3g/day of psyllium, and started taking 1 Smart Chew 3 times/day. My HDL remained the same, but my LDL dropped to 120, a 25% decrease! I am a very happy camper!
My only complaint is that the product contains Yellow 6. I've written to the company requesting that they remove it; if enough of us do that, maybe they'll comply.

Benecol Carmels are very tasty . We have not had a cholesterol test
since taking them. My husband has a test in a couple of days. We are
watching our diet. My husband can not tolerate the cholesterol medicine
and hopeful these will make a difference. The web site is easy to use and
they were here within 4 or 5 days. Thank you for quick servie.

Benecol Smart Chews, Caramel, 120 Soft Chews
The Smart Chews are a very tasty product but I was looking for a product to reduce my high cholesterol without taking statins. My results came in today after taking 3 a day for a month. There was no improvement or very little in my LDL. HDL was OK. Smart Chews are a nice candy but that was not the objective. Sorry to give Benecol a bad review. Everyone's body is different.
