BP Monitoring Made Easy August 6, 2008 3 out of 3 found this comment useful.
Purchased this a few weeks ago because I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and wanted to monitor my progress after starting medication. I have to say I am completely satisfied. Contrary to what I have read in other reviews, the software does install and is compatible with Windows Vista. The readings are accurate and I know because I took it to my doctors office and compared them with results the nurse got. I would say plus or minus 5 points is the maximum variation.
The USB connection to the pc works fine and allows you to create a PDF file which I take to my appts to show my doctor the morning and evening readings I am taking. Also allows you to store data for 2 separate people. Highly recommend!
Muy buen equipo August 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this comment useful.
Easy to learn, easy to operate, accurate July 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
After 20 minutes or so of reading the booklet, I thoroughly understood the Omron HEM-790IT and have used it without problem since. The device operates automatically when the 'on' button is pushed and requires only that the sleeve be snugly attached. I set it up to take three readings at a 'sitting' 30 seconds apart. These are then averaged for the reading. Though I don't have the need to continuously monitor my BP, I used it twice a day for three weeks just to get the hang of it, to check out the software, and to understand how my blood pressure tracks over time. Unless someone is particularly interested in a visual presentation of blood pressure over time, I think the software is redundant and the 780 should suffice, for about $10 less. Both the 780 and 790 are set up to track two people and allow a 'guest', as well as to note morning hypertension. If these features aren't required, a less expensive version should suffice.
Omron HEM-790IT Review July 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this comment useful.
I was looking for a blood pressure monitor with the ability to connect to my pc and down load date stamped information to it. After searching the Internet, I found three different brands having this capability. I was familar with the Omron brand so I chose this model. Searching for costs I found a cost range of $130 to $70 with Amazon being the least expensive and having no shipping charges and sales tax. I am very satisfied with this product.
Good Product July 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this comment useful.
It has got a very good features but the BP it measures is always lesser than the actual. M not sure if this is correct or the Doctor's.
