batteries don't last November 14, 2008
I had to replace the batteries constantly, and we only used the scale once a day. Batteries would last a week or two tops
Don't buy!
Had it a month and it works well October 30, 2008 After reading all the other reviews we selected this one. If there is one weekness it is that it's an LCD display (large #) but not easy to read in a darker room. The one we used to have lighted up.
I'm guessing it is accurate as it's pretty consistent.
A stylish accurate bargain! October 25, 2008 I did a good bit of research on scales to learn both what's important and not. I found exactly what I wanted with this purchase. It is stylish, which wasn't a priority but hey! why not? It is simple to use. People complained about how the accuracy. I used it to weigh myself several times in a row on my analog scale just to get an average. With this scale, I did it at first and found it would typically read exactly the same several times over, down to the tenth of a pound. Finally I realized only one weighing was necessary. It is made of plastic and glass so there is no worry of rust or corrosion as with my metal scale. Also lightweight. And finally the price was great. I haven't any negatives at this point. Time will tell on the life of the battery. But that is minor/
Good value in a functional scale October 12, 2008 The scale is attractive and light. It's a little disconcerting to have to "tap" it to turn it on and calibrate it but you get used to this necessity. It's nice to have the tenth-of-a-pound display. Reproducibility is adequate.
Scale October 6, 2008 I had a hard time figuring out how to measure body fat and bone content...but I think I've got it now. It was just as accurate as my previous scale.
