 Good Protection, Especially for Sensitive Skin July 2, 2008
My wife has tried several different clinical-strength antiperspirants, but favors the Dove Clinical Protection over all the others. The main difference is that the Dove provides comparable performance while also being much more gentle on your skin. Other similar products seem much more harsh when compared to the soothing feel of the Dove Clinical Protection.
Note that the manufacturer recommends that you apply it before bedtime and doing so definitely makes a big difference in its effectiveness. However, not everyone will want to do this every night.
The Cool Essentials also has a very pleasant mild scent.

Nice product. Has a fresh and clean scent. Held up nicely in 88-96 degree humid Baltimore, MD sticky summer weather. Is still working nicely at 9/10/11 pm. It is a creamy consistency. It does NOT feel wet. The container allows you to push through just the amount you want to use. Has a nice clean smell, somewhat similar to the Dove Cucumber soap. I like it better than the Secret stick solid I was using before. It doesn't take much to do the job, either, even in the high humidity.
As a matter of fact, I can wear this deodorant all day, and do my 30 minute power walk at about 8 pm, in the high Baltimore Humidity and temps of still about 87 degrees, sweating profusely, and I don't stink. Life is good :-)

I liked this product pretty well, but will not order it again unless it comes in clear.
The good:
Smells nice and clean. The cucumber / green tea scent is clean and delicate. Not perfumey and not over-powering.
Easy to use--the crank works easily and you don't have to crank it a lot. Two cranks puts out enough but not too much.
Not a bad price
Does the job as an anti-perspirant. I never tried "prescription strength" before, and I must say it does keep me drier.
The bad:
In a nutshell, it is not clear. It gets the white marks on your clothes. I tried putting it on at night, and I forget to do that a bunch. Maybe after years I would remember, but mostly I put it on in the morning. I am thoroughly tired of getting the white marks on my clothing. I would sacrifice some wetness control for not getting this stuff on my clothing, so back to the clear non-prescription strength for me.
Because it does what it says, I gave it four stars, but I won't be buying it.
Great Product June 28, 2008
I've used Dove products for several years and have been pleased with all, so I wasn't surprised that I like this one as well. It goes on smooth, doesn't leave a residue and protects very well. Very pleased.
The only complaint is that the description indicates a pack of 2, but I only received one. Maybe that's because I received it though the Vine program.

It needs to be clarified that this is a woman's product. Luckily I had a girlfriend I could pawn this off on. I wasn't sure who this product was intended for when I ordered it. Now I have learned my lesson when considering these Dove products.
