 Synthetic taste May 16, 2008
I've liked other PowerBar high protein bars and used them when I've no time or opportunity for breakfast or lunch. However, I wouldn't recommend the reduced sugar variety. Rather than being less sweet, as I expected, they have a pronounced and cloying artificial sweetener taste.

These are great for busy people on the go who are trying to cut carbs. They satisfy my sweet tooth cravings, too. Not as tasty as the regular sugar ones but I'd rather enjoy being shapely than eating junk . .
 Diabetic dream bar... but beware! March 23, 2008
As a vegetarian diabetic, finding low carb sources of protein can be a challenge! This bar is a dream bar in that it packs lots of protein, with low net carbs, However be aware that not everyone can tolerate the alcohol sugar. Some find that it causes gas or digestive challenges. Even still this bar and the double chocolate reduced sugar taste pretty darn good when compared to other chalky protein bars. Beware that this bar contains a small amount of sucralose. A questionably healthy substance for some.

I love the Powerbar protein bars but was worried the reduced sugar version would be nasty. These were great. I'd routinely take one to work for breakfast. It's easy to eat while working without having to leave my work area or sit down. They taste great and I'm not hungry for hours after. Unfortunately, this flavor is hard to come by.

I am a natural bodybuilder and use this product routinely. The taste is satisfactory (to me). I consider nutritional value before considering taste. This bar packs it! A great source of protien, low in fat and carbs, plus has additional nutrients our bodies need. Other reviewers must understand that this is not meant to taste like a Hershey's Chocolate Bar.....
