5 out of 5 stars I love ThermaCare wraps   October 8, 2008
The wraps work wonderfully. I didn't have any problem with the adhesive sticking for hours. It stayed hot for the full eight hours. When you need to be active, and can't sit there with a heating pad on your neck all day, the wraps are a godsend. I wear them right under my clothes. I need to make sure that I always have them on hand.

1 out of 5 stars Lame product.   July 16, 2008
Sticks to your back, then sags, then falls off. Don't move while it's on or it will fall off. Don't re-adjust it or it will fall off. You'd have to lay on top of it to hold the heat to yourself. Just get a heating pad, heat patch or microwave rice bag instead of this pointless product.

I think the product works just great. I have often suffered from neck pain, and although this product alone isn't enough to fix it, this product along with some Advil provides great relief. I work at a desk all day, and I have never had a problem with the adhesive falling off or giving me a rash, but if you do have problems with the adhesive, I would recommend you try the back wrap, as there is no adhesive, but a velcro wrap involved.

Thermacare Neck, shoulder & wrist wrap:
My son woke up with a bad stiff neck, so I purchased this product. He wore it for several hours, and upon removal we noticed a horrible red rash on his neck along where the adhesive from the product touched his neck. This rash lasted a week.
I contacted Thermacare and asked what is the chemical in the adhesive that caused such a rash. After a very long wait on hold, the representative got on the phone and told me she isn't allowed to disclose the chemicals used in the adhesive, because that information is "propriety to the company." Well, if a company won't disclose the chemicals coming in contact with the customer's skin on the product, that is VERY SCARY!!! The FDA ought to regulate this industry a little tighter, if they do at all.
By the way, my son felt that this product was not comfortable nor helpful. And I have never seen a rash on him prior to this experience. He has no allergies.
Also, we tried their newly designed lower back wraps. The velcro is a very narrow strip that does not work. They did away with the small and large sizes and combined them into one. I am a size 6; the box indicates it fits sizes women sizes 4-20. This product was WAAAY to big, and kept falling down even in the beginning when the velcro was connected. I used to be a big fan of Thermacare, but they went cheap with the lower back wraps and are using an undisclosed rash-inducing chemical in the adhesive of the neck wraps.
AVOID!

3 out of 5 stars A disappointment   January 19, 2008

I love the convenience of heat wraps. But this particular type made for the neck doesn't stay on. The adhesive wears out quickly on it, and it comes off. I'll never buy this particular size, again. The knee wrap and hip wrap stay better on my neck, and covers more territory.
