The snack bars definitely taste great! And the texture is really good as well. But I don't think these are all that healthy. Malitol syrup, one of the main ingredients in the bar, has a negative affect on some diabetics. And though the amount may be negligible per bar, there are partially hydrogenated oils... meaning, there is some trans fat in the product. So I'd say they're okay for a rare treat, but you may not want to add them to your weekly shopping list just yet.

These minibars are just right for a smack with very little impact on my blood sugar.

Glucerna's chocolate peanut bars are my favorite. The mini bars are perfect for snacks. I previously used the meal bar size but found it to have more calories than I wanted to ingest. The mini bar size is ideal. The taste is great and very satisfying. I've used some other Glucerna bars but like the chocolate peanut the best.

compared to other products with approximately twice the number of calories, i.e. 180-190 cal/serving - similar satiety etc. Helpful re: weight maintenance.
