These acidophilus pearls are easy to store, pack, and take. If you've recently taken a round of antibiotics, you NEED to take acidophilus in some form to re-establish these friendly bacteria in your bowels. Do a Google search to find out why in detail. Not to be too graphic, they help your system eliminate better, plus acidophilus bacterium produce B vitamins as by-products of their work, a big benefit to your body and your general health. Highly recommended for acne sufferers and anyone who has undergone antibiotic therapy. One other perk of this product: the pearls are specially designed to survive your digestive system's somewhat harsh environment (most harsh: the strong acids in the stomach itself) so that they can ultimately colonize in your bowel; you can't always be sure how much of the acidophilus in yogurt and other cultured dairy products will survive the trip.

I have little need for Kaopectate and other "relief" products,
since I have been taking these. They seem to neutralize everything.
Since I have been consuming lots and lots of veggies and cruciferous
foods, this really keeps my system harmonious. We buy several packs
at one time. They are great to travel with, as well.

PEARLS ARE A WONDERFUL WAY TO GET YOUR PROBIOTICS - GOOD BACTERIA. BEFORE PEARLS I USED BIO-K BUT IT HAS TO BE REFRIGERATED AND THE TASTE IS NOT APPEALING. I like the fact that they are round and small. They are easy to swallow. They only thing that is a little disconcerting is that they actually do look like little pearls and if dropped would be hard to differentiate as a sort of "medication"

These pills are magic, I take one afternoon with lunch everyday. If I feel my tummy is more upset than usual I will take one in the morning and one in the evening. I have IBS and pearls are the only things that calm my intestines. I still have to stay away from trigger foods but my quality of life is great now. Using ginger and peppermint help too but not by themselves. Together they have given me new life.
