2 out of 5 stars Didn't work for me.   September 30, 2008
Pepcid Complete is meant to not only prevent, but to reduce acid in your stomach and esophagus. I don't understand the high price of these, because its efficacy is quite suspect. After having symptoms of acid reflux I took one pill and after an hour it still had not relieved any of the symptoms. Later on at night, maybe four to five hours later the pain finally went away. One thing I do know is if you take too many acid reducing pills you can get the opposite problem-indigestion. This is exactly what happened to me with the Pepcid. I will note two things: that I did not take any other acid reducing pills during the day and I also have terrible GERD. Just about anything with flavor to it will excite the acid in my stomach. So, in conclusion I found the Pepcid Complete to be ineffective in relieving symptoms and "overstrong" for prevention of reflux. And as for price, I can make the same concoction of acid relief (that works) for about 1/4 of the price.

I know they are pricy, but when it's really bad and Tums can't fix it, one of these works instantly and completely. I always keep some around.

I really like this product. I think it works a lot better than Tums (granted, it is a different type of antacid), and I enjoy the minty taste. The berry-flavored ones are not very good, but this one is great. I do feel like it is a little too expensive, however.

When temptation has me beaten,

And again I've overeaten,

I don't just sit there feeling crumby.

But take a Pepcid for my tummy.
