I've had RGP lens for years and been a faithful Boston user. Hadn't even considered another brand as I've had mostly good luck with Boston over the years. I switched to Boston Simplus a couple of years back. Love the simplicity and generally have had good luck but recently noticed that wearing time had decreased and lens become dirty and uncomfortable much faster. I started buying from amazon when I couldn't find locally and was pleased at the price difference - Simplus is about $12 here in Nocal for 3.5 oz ! I came across Unique PH and decided to give it a try based on all the positive feedback here. Wow, what a difference! Much longer wear time and more comfortable. And at 3 for $20, a much better deal than Boston. Only wish I bought a bunch more during the 2 for price of 1 sale.
BTW, anyone else thinks it's strange that with Boston Simplus, you clean after storage and with Unique you clean before storage? While I prefer the Boston approach, can't help thinking that clean then store makes more sense and may account for some of the difference in comfort.

I love Unique PH. I wear CRT contacts so I wear them to sleep so comfort is really important as well as making sure the moisture is there. Other solutions have been too slippery or too goopy that my lens have "shifted" while I sleep (I'm guessing during REM) and has reshaped my eyes so that it's a total blur when I wake up. Unique PH is very natural and close to being like real tears.

I was so happy to find this solution on-line. It's not available in stores & is the best solution I have found. My lenses are much more comfortable and I'm able to wear them longer.

I have had RGP contacts for 14 years and have used every contact solution available. Unique pH is my preferred solution and I have used it exclusively for the last several years. Other solutions such as Boston Simplus caused my eyes to burn when I would insert my contacts. Unique pH is gentle and doesn't make me feel like I'm pouring acid into my eyes as Boston's solutions did. I highly recommend.
When I heard this product was being discontinued, I ordered 21 bottles of it for a family member and myself. We have gone through that stash significantly and I ordered some from Amazon as a back-up for when those are gone (with the buy 3 bottles, get 3 free promotion, the price couldn't be beat). I really hope somehow Alcon changes their mind and decides to reproduce this item. It has been a savior for my eyes.
Super Multi-Purpose Solution for Contact Lenses September 2, 2008
My eye doctor recommended this contact lens solution to me about five years ago. He gave me a free sample. I really liked it because I only had to buy one solution, not two or three plus it did a great job. My eye doctor told me that my lenses were in great condition and that I was taking very good care of them. I feel it was due to using Unique pH. I bought it at WalMart for many years and then I couldn't purchase it there anymore. I called the phone number on the box and was told the company wasn't going to make it anymore, but I could purchase it from them until April 2008. I bought six boxes and used them up. Then I received a letter from amazon that I could purchase it online and I bought six bottles again. I hope that it won't be unavailable again as I really miss it when I have to use another brand.
