2 out of 5 stars No Vitamin A? Overprocessed? Pumpkin s/b Full of Vit A!   January 1, 2009
The manufacturers should review their processing methods, since pumpkin is naturally full of vitamin A and this product has 0% RDA of vitamin A.

2 out of 5 stars acquired taste?   April 6, 2007

ordered because the reviews were so positive & I love both pumpkin & coconut--sounded ideal. Sorry to say, the only way I was able to eat it was to add a bunch of other stuff. You do taste the coconut, but there were only 2 small pieces of pumpkin in what I guess is a creamy soup. Not what I expected at all. If you've ever had pre-made butternut squash soup from the supermarket (canned, boxed) then you have an idea of the taste of this. Have yet to try the sherpa's delight, but hope its better.

5 out of 5 stars Pumpkin & Coconut Heaven!   January 15, 2007

"What-a-curry!" As it so rightly says on the back of the pack.

Its really a coconut & pumpkin curry; as its more like a mild and creamy coconut base with blended in cubes of pumpkin chunks...mmm...oh so lovely over rice or with a chunk of bread. I take mine to work & have already gone through 2 six packs. I do think the word "curry" could confuse those that think it has to mean "heavily-spiced". Thank you Going Native for starting to break that stereotype.

If you love coconut with a subtly spiced pumpkin flavor then you'll be sure to love this.

All these Going Native products are just so much better than the same-old same old out there - they are really gourmet - rather than very processed. Plus you can microwave them in the pouch unlike most of those other flexible metal can-type pouches out there.

I really do have to applaud this company for trying some new flavors too & breaking away from the norm. Roll on more Going Native products. Tasty, Natural, Authentic & very healthy too!

This is my end of week, friday lunchtime treat to myself at the office!

Very groovy indeed! I shall be ordering more...

5 out of 5 stars Creamy, mild comfort food with loads of flavor   January 15, 2007

These pumpkin curries are my new favorite comfort food. The coconut base is so creamy and rich it is hard to believe it is non-dairy, and the chunks of pumpkin are an appealing orange color and have a fresh flavor.

There is a little bit of spice, but certainly not enough to irritate sensitive stomachs or overwhelm the delicate flavors. I think even children would love this curry.

I have been eating this with a bit of toasted pita or naan, but unlike a lot of packaged curries this one really stands on its own and doesn't actually need a starch with it, so this would be a great one to take to work.

I must say that I love the Going Native meals. However, this is one of their styles that I must say avoid. Something about the coconut milk in this one makes for a less than tasty dining experience. Try one of their other flavors like Serpa's Delite to get a real taste of Going Native meals.
