5 out of 5 stars Very handy to have!   November 27, 2007
This book is great for 3rd and 4th year med students and even residents. The best part about this book is that it allows you to check the generic names of drugs from trade name. However, the disadvantage of this book is that it doesn't provide enough info regarding side effects, toxicities, therapeutic levels, etc.

4 out of 5 stars Very good product   October 15, 2007
I have ordered this book for three years running and I like it very much. It contains just essential information on drugs you already know like dosage and safety in breast feeding and pregnancy. It also gives you pediatric dosing on most drugs and a cost comparison. This information is very helpful to a busy Doc in a full service practice which sees babies, teens, adults, geriatrics and helps me safely prescribe for the pregnant and nursing.

5 out of 5 stars Used along with Epocrates   September 11, 2007
I'm never without this in my lab coat pocket. I usually use Epocrates for it's speed and links with it's other products, but it's not too unusual for drugs to be missing in Epocrates that I can find in Tarascon. Also, when you're battery dies, you'll definitely want to have Tarascon close by.

4 out of 5 stars dynamo   September 4, 2007
this little baby is a handly tool for a brief bedside reference, and often all the information needed at the moment

5 out of 5 stars Tarascon Pharmacopoeia Best Pocket Book!   August 31, 2007
I have been a long-time fan of the Tarascon Pharmacopeia since graduating from Physician Assistant school in 1996. Small enough for a pocket, yet packed full of valuable drug information. I love it! Wouldn't practice without it.
