Very good book August 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
I bought this guide the first day of my residency, because everybody else had it. It proved itself a very good buy, until now, because after 3 months i keep on using it daily more than 5-10 times, independently of the workloadn the hospital. The meds are covered pretty thoroughly and you very rarely find anyone missing. The size is extremely small so that it fits everywhere! The bad points for this book are that it does not include mechanisms of action, or side effects or any other clinically relevant data for the meds, except for the formulae and the dosage, as well as the generic names of the medications. In total it is a very good book, very useful, and since no other drug guide can be considered better than this one right now, i am giving it a 4 stars rating.
Thank you July 3, 2007 0 out of 4 found this comment useful.
This product is in amazing shape, thank you for being so eager to send it out so quick. It came just in time and I love the book. Thank you Jamie
best pocket guide June 27, 2007 2 out of 2 found this comment useful.
This is probably the best pocket guide for quick reference of drugs and their dosing. I used this extensively throughout medical school and residency and still use it to this day as I see patients on a daily basis. It is perfect for looking up drugs, dosages and how the drug us dispensed. The guide is well organized. If you are looking for a drug guide with lists of side effects and interactions, this is not the book for you. However, it probably lists more drugs than can be found in the monthly PDR magazines and other monthly drug guides. I highly recommend this guide to anyone who doesn't want to carry a PDA in their pocket and just want a simple guide to quickly reference drugs and their dosing.
