Better than the 2nd Edition August 31, 2007 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
Small size makes it great. I carry a palm and still leave this in my pocket for quick reference. I had been carrying the 2nd edition since medical school. The 4th has a good deal of new information, at least in the sections I've referenced so far. Definitely worth it's weight.
Incredible pocket book July 29, 2007 1 out of 1 found this comment useful.
When i bought it i could never have immagined, that there could have been a so small book, to provide so much detail in everyday (and not only) practice in IM. It has tremendous material including treatment and decisions to be taken in very few pages and very small format. It can fit anywhere in my lab coat, in a pocket or even in my wallet! I think it is an incredible book for what it was made and has earned its place in my pocket throwing out every bigger competitor...
Great Book, very helpful July 7, 2007 2 out of 2 found this comment useful.
This book has a lot of great tips and 'cheat' sheets to use in the clinical setting, it has great calculation guides, and is compact to fit in your pocket without making you feel like you're carting around a library in your lab coat.
Tarascon Internal Med Pocketbook March 10, 2007 8 out of 8 found this comment useful.
This is a nice, small, handy book to have for internal medicine rotations and residency. It doesn't have everything that you may desire, but it still has a great deal, including major studies published backing up different drugs important in internal med care. It is very small to have so much information, so it is a really nice book to carry.
The Most Amazing Little Book February 17, 2007 10 out of 10 found this comment useful.
Every time I open this book, I keep praising the authors for their art. It looks impossible to cram so much information in such a little space. It contains information that sometimes you can't find in textbooks. I bought it for my ICU rotation, but since then I have been carrying it in my labcoat all the time.
