This book has really helped in understanding the constant pain I feel after back surgery. It gives coping skills, and broadens your ourlook so you can continue on with your life and manage the pain.

As a psychologist who specializes in working with people with chronic pain, I have waited years for a comprehensive book that could answer my basic questions about strategies for effective pain management. This is the book. I have used it both clinically and as a reference for my own writing and teaching. The book is very well-written, not too technical and maintains a high standard for the information included.
