5 out of 5 stars One of the best!   October 9, 2008
Of course, personal taste will determine you own opinion of the Clif Builder's Bar, but this is my personal favorite... and I've tried a lot of sports bars. The taste is quite good and I like the texture. It's not roughage and it's not super gooy either. I use them a lot when I do long bike rides and some races. I found that they give me good energy and never upset my stomach. However, I don't find them ideal in the middle of a grueling marathon race... they're a bit heavy for that.

5 out of 5 stars great taste, great price. good ingredients   October 8, 2008
These are actually tasty. Not an easy feat for a power bar. And a lot of protein in each bar. The ingredients are not as questionable as other bars.

5 out of 5 stars Great Flavor, Great Price   September 30, 2008
I love these bars. They taste good and the texture is fabulous. The price and delivery time were also excellent.

4 out of 5 stars Good bars-- Go Clif   September 30, 2008
I frequently bought the normal clif bar variety pack (approx $0.75 a bar) at costco before I found these. I like the addition of chocolate and the increased protein of the builders bars (9g in the normal ones and 20g in these). The bars taste great and the added minerals and organic ingredients make them very healthy. The only downside I see is that the protein is soy protein-- I would prefer whey.

5 out of 5 stars Fabulous post-workout nosh   September 24, 2008
I bought a few of these a year ago. The first time I tried one, I was in the car on my way to go sculling. My first reaction was that it tasted heavy and terrible, and swore off the things.

Later, I learned about the benefits of getting a good chunk of protein after a workout. A friend of mine told me that the Builder's Bar was a great way to get this, and I remembered that I had one sitting in my gym bag.

Usually, immediately after a hard workout, my stomache can't even stand the thought of eating anything. The Builder's Bar seems to be optimized to be edible under these conditions. After a hard workout, they taste quite good, and I've found that I recover more quickly and have less muscle soreness the next day.
