My search may be over.
This is the best-tasting nutritional snack available, bar none. It's taken me several years, perhaps a dozen reviews, and some awfully nasty aftertastes to find Lara Cherry bats, so perhaps this review will save you some of that trouble.
It starts and ends with the taste. Sure, you have those all-natural ingredients (no added mineral and vitamins for the infamous metallic aftertaste, no strange fillers that leave you guessing what flavor you just downed), the reasonable price, zero cholesterol, and Omega-3 fatty acids (don't worry, they're good for you).
However, this is the truest tasting bar available. There's a rich, authentic taste of black cherries, whole black cherries, in fact, mixed with a light cobbler-esque texture that comes awfully darn close to cherry pie. Seriously, you could heat this baby, serve it with ice cream, and fool some of your foodie friends.
I've tried three Lara Bar flavors, and I'll list from top to bottom tasting experience: Cherry (by a mile), a delicious Apple Pie, and the strangely textured but flavorful cashew. I'm looking forward to trying more of them.
