Do your math, don't be fooled by marketing like I was! June 8, 2007
I was a big fan of the Wellements HDT 5+1 (27g per serving 1 scoop)Double Dutch Chocolate. I switched from the GNC generic brand becuase you got another lb for free and the taste was better for the same price. So i was upset when they discontinued it.
So not paying attention,thinking inflation got the best of the business and believing I was getting more bang for my buck with the 55g protein vs 27 per serving, I bit the bullet and bought two containers of Pro Blend 55 (Choco Fudge and Mocha Capp).
The taste is the best out there!
However I was very disappointed when i noticed that a serving size for the Problend 55 is TWO scoops! You can get the same thing from the more economical 6lb which is rated at 27g per serving (one scoop) Just use two sccops and you get the same amount of protein for way less price!
Unless you want a specific taste go with the 6lbs, and use the spare money for more supplements.

Price per pounds seems a little bit of a premium. Cannot tell the difference vs cheaper products.

I like this brand. It offers more protein per serving than most of the other manufacturers and doesn't have the funky artificial sweetener after taste. My only complaint is that this flavor doesn't mix well with water in a shaker. It tends to clump.
Pros: Tastes good. Lots of protein per serving.
Cons: Doesn't mix completely in a shaker.

Pro blend 55 is great for muscle building because of 55grams of protein per shake and it tastes great!
