Don't order these from Amazon. I thought I would save a buck or two by ordering from the, but when they arrived, they had obviously been melted, and then reformed at some point. I ordered two cases of the Triple Chocolate Chaos, and the "gooey chocolate" layer had melted, and the box had been turn on it's side, as this layer re-formed at one of the chocolate bar. It was a mess to eat, and 75% of the bar was dry and missing most of the chocolate.

Depite tasting like a brownie that was left in the oven way too long, I actually do like these bars. They are the perfect pick-me-up for a late night class I have at the uni (I want to fall asleep during class and eating one gives me instant energy).
Eating them also encourages me to drink a 16.9 oz bottle of water mainly because I want to get rid of that "overdone brownie" taste (I hate drinking water, so this is a added bonus).
If you plan to order these from Amazon.com, be watchful of the expiration date. The majority of my orders have been fine, but with my last order Amazon sent bars that were 3 months past the expiration date.

I have been purchasing this Balance Bar for months and it has helped me not only curve my appetite for candybars but it also has provided me tons of energy for working out! It also is great for a midmorning or midafternoon snack at work to keep me away from junk food! If you have not tryed these bars recently get a box, you will not regret it.

In my opinion these are the best value edible protein bars you can get. They have 15g of protein each. Detour and U-turn bars (30g protein each) taste good also but cost almost 3 times as much for a box of only 12. I've ordered these bars several times and have never checked the expiration date. They all tasted fine to me when I ate them though.

Be careful when u order these. I ordered these bars a couple of months ago and when I received them, I noticed that the Best By date was less then a month away. I've had "expired" bars before and trust me, they're quite nasty. I wrote to Amazon and they took care of my refund immediately. At the time, they didn't have any replacement boxes to send.
