5 out of 5 stars can't live without   September 3, 2008
never knew how much was left behind after brushing. My mouth feels so much cleaner and it's great if you have bridge work it gets under it very good. Love my Panasonic portable Irrigator. Getting for both my daughters for christmas.

2 out of 5 stars This is one messy little apparatus!!   September 1, 2008
I can't help but laugh hysterically everytime I try to use this with my 10 year old. First of all, you MUST be directly over the sink when planning on using this irrigator. Second, plan on gagging over the amount of water that is shot into your mouth. Third, you WILL be wiping down your entire bathroom after the shower that takes place from the water splattering out of your mouth. WOW!! Now the good news is that it does in fact work. We bought this for our 10 year old that needed something to help clear out his orthodontic equipement and it has helped. But WHOA it is a mess! Beware...

5 out of 5 stars Great Addition   August 29, 2008
As I have aged my teeth are separating and a toothbrush, even the expensive sonic ones, do not get the stuff between my teeth. I had one of these and miss placed it and that was why I purchased another. It is wonderful to carry with me if I go out and get the food stuck and it hurts sometimes. This does the trick. Amazon had the best price and S&H. Give it a try. You have to work with it so not to bathe yourself but once you figure it out you will not want to be without it again!

2 out of 5 stars Better Than Nothing   August 26, 2008
Not much water. Difficlult to navigate in my mouth. Water Pic is much better but Water Pic's quality has declined a lot over the years and they don't offer much repair on many units.

5 out of 5 stars Compact but powerful   August 21, 2008
I am very happy with this unit. Last about a month on 2 AA batteries and compact enough to travel anywhere. Powerful and effective. My dentist thought he saw an improvement when I mentioned that I started using it.

There are downsides. One, the small size means you have to refill a few times per session. Two, as it drains, the partial vacuum sometimes pulls the tank up into the main unit. Just a bit uncomfortable, but doesn't cause any problems in functioning so I still give it a "5".
