Who cares about the magnets??? September 6, 2008 First off, I agree with the writer who went on and on about the benefits (or lack thereof) of magnets in this application. And yet, try to find a knee device that can provide hot or cold therapy at a better price. Good luck! Most comparable items sell in the mid $30 range and up. I have bad knees and these wraps are indispensible. As for the magnets, who cares? As long as they don't do any damage (no scientific evidence of that either), no big deal.
Comfortable, well-made, and priced fairly August 5, 2008 I bought this after I developed runner's knee to help with swelling after my runs. I can't speak to the magnet issue, but the cold-pack fits perfectly in its little pouch and does its job well. Also, this wrap is incredibly comfortable, with no exposed seams or stitches. Finally, the wrap is very well made; I can see it lasting for years.
If you are looking for great way to cool your knee down, this is it.
Great relief for a small price! July 13, 2008 I do tons of walking in my work, and I'm constantly going up and down flights of stairs. I can take asprin, but usually the only thing that will help is staying on the couch for a day or two. For obvious reasons, that's not always practical.
When I discovered the HoMedics MW-KHC TheraP Hot/Cold Therapy Knee Wrap I was thrilled. A friend told me about it, and I'll be forever grateful. When my knee feels like it's "gone out" the pain can be amazing, seeming to radiate through my whole body. If you've ever experienced this, you know how desperate you can be for relief.
The best part of this product is that it seems to hold the temperature for quite some time, so when I use it I don't have to be constantly thinking about it.
Don't wait 'till you're in pain to have one (or two) of these in the house. When you need it, you'll be happy it's there to save you.
Thank you, HoMedics!
Homedics Knee Wrap January 21, 2008 Good Product that work well. Only complaint is that it starts to stretch very fast and I need to get a new one every 6 Mo.
How magnets heal the body December 19, 2007 1 out of 2 found this comment useful.
Magnets can heal the body because magnetic fields are the closest form of energy to the human energy field. Homedics is one of the few companies that actually knows that you need to face the north end of the magnets towards the body. The way magnets and human healers work is the same basic process. A stronger, more powerful, better structured energy field comes close to and overlaps with a jumbled energy field. The better structed energy field influences and straightens out the messed up one. Both humans and magnets work best on structural problems such as knees, surgury, cuts, breaks, tears, etc. Homedics uses an array of powerful Neomedium magnets that produce a larger unified field because of their geometric placement in their products. Over the years I great success with their products speeding up the healing time of structural problems as have my two ballerina daughters. The metric you can expect is about a reduction in healing time by about 70% with a one hour per day exposure.
