This pad was purchased for an elderly woman with arthritis.
She is very pleased with it, due to the fact that it warms up quickly without getting so hot as to be uncomfortable and because she can operate the simple controls easily despite having severe arthritis in both hands.
She also likes the fact that it comes without the automatic shut-off timer that many heating pads have.
The size is good for larger areas such as an aching back or using for both feet at the same time.
Overall it performs well and is an excellent value for the price.

Where's the heat? September 20, 2008
I have one thing to say, "Where's the heat?" I turned it on to high for an hour and it barely heated up. Would never buy again. Returned it. Only good thing is Amazon has a very good return policy.

I wanted a heating pad without autoshutoff, this is definitely the one for me but still the king size version that helps me. Good product.

I have been using this brand of heating pad for years. I prefer those that do not cut off after an hour. When you turn this one on, it stays on. Great!
