Gel filling is better November 16, 2008 3 out of 3 found this comment useful.
I prefer gel filling, it retains heat longer with no smell. This one has a spice shelf odor to it. It does not retain heat for more than 20 min. I gave it 3 stars for the idea, the texture of the cover as it is really soft. Otherwise, its not worth the money.
777mommy November 1, 2008 Love the moiste heat.It really works great for tight muscles.I've never had a heating pad that i could actually feel relief after using. It may take longer to heat up but it's worth the larger coverage area it gives you.Works great!love it!
A good deal compared to others out there October 17, 2008 0 out of 1 found this comment useful.
Works well like it should. Wish it were bigger, but it works just fine. Takes 3 minutes or so to warm up.
Great mat October 13, 2008 Bought it for my wife who often has back pain. She likes it a lot. The moist heat is great. Wife happy, me happy too :-)
It's okay July 27, 2008 7 out of 7 found this comment useful.
I thought that this would be a lot better, it isn't bad, just not great. It takes a full 4 minutes to heat, and truly does not stay HOT long enough. I'm constantly running back to the microwave to heat it up. While it's hot, it's terrific (but that's about 20 minutes, MAYBE a half an hour). It helped a friend's dad who had knee trouble, also for him, didn't stay hot long enough, but it was helpful.
I now use it in the winter to keep my feet warm when I first go to bed. I no longer use the electric heating blanket (which never really got my FEET warm enough). Everyone else in my house likes it cold, so I really suffer from not even being able to sleep sometimes, I feel so cold (but I hate socks on my feet!). So now, I wrap this warmed blanket around my feet and fall fast asleep, and somewhere in the middle of night, I've kicked it to the floor.
