Fibromyalgia Thwarted! December 13, 2008 I bought this item for my best friend, who has severe and chronic fibromyalgia. The winter season with its cold temperatures makes her especially miserable. Due to past injuries she suffered in her neck and shoulders, the cold weather makes the pain even worse.
I got her this because:
1. I was hoping it would help keep her toasty and pain-free, and 2. It's easy to heat up in the microwave.
I am happy to report that she has spoken glowingly of her Neck & Shoulder Wrap, and uses it very often. Once she wears this one out, I'll jump to get her another!
It is so great to see my best friend's pain lessened!

....the weight of this item. It seems quite heavy around my neck. Unfortunately, as another reviewer stated, if you are upright, the filling goes to the bottom. I've tried shaking the filling where I want it before placing it in position and that helps, but then shifts even more weight to my neck.. It seems nicely made but if I had hung something of this weight around my neck before ordering, would not have purchased this wrap.
Good heat wrap September 29, 2008 This wrap works much better than any other wrap I've had. It's VERY comfortable and stays in place well. I like the fact that I can take the filling out and wash as needed. Two things that could be improved is the filling distribution and more coverage around the neck.
warm & soothing shoulder wrap September 5, 2008 i love this product! i have been using it almost every evening to help with general neck/shoulder tension & even took it on vacation as it rolls into a small space in suitcase. i have tried lots of different heating pads for my back, but like this because i can walk around with it on & it smells good!
Cozy, but short lived June 5, 2008 2 out of 2 found this comment useful.
I suffer from tension in my neck and shoulders, and frequent headaches. I like the shape of the wrap - it encompasses my neck and shoulders nicely, and can double as a headache wrap as well because of its softness (not quilted so can fall easily over head and neck when lying down). The drawback is that it doesn't stay warm very long. I usually have to microwave it for 3 minutes to get the heat I desire, and it lasts around 20 minutes max. Also, as another reviewer pointed out, when you warm it up beyond the stated time (1 - 1/2 min. which doesn't get it nearly warm enough) the rice filling does get a certain "toasty" scent. Am going to try the Cherry Stone Neck Pillow ($25) next time.
