I got one of these in an attempt to find any and all things to relieve back pain. This works as described, but it only holds the heat from the microwave for around 10 minutes. It is bulky and heavy compared to disposable heat wraps.
I much prefer heat wraps from Walgreens or WalMart. These are generic versions of Thermacare products, but the generic heat wraps work much better and are cheaper than the Themacare products. After a lot of searching I have been unable to find them at Amazon.
I guess someone on a limited budget would prefer this item, as it is reusable. But it would be a lot of trouble for someone who lives alone to have to remove it and heat it up again and again every 10 minutes or so.
