I don't put it in the oven or heat it up, but it is around my neck every night as I sit on the couch. It really saves my neck and back muscles. I bought two. We love them.

I purchased this item on 27 October, 2008. I was not at all pleased with this item, but wanted to give the neck wrap a chance, and do my best to get used to this item.
The item consistently felt damp when heated. Wet-blanket damp. It stunk of burnt rice when heated and smelt like damp molding hay when cool. The pillow did not hold any heat. At best it was lukewarm, and did nothing for my chronic neck pain.
There is a minimal amount of support at the nape of the neck - the stuffing is mainly in the sides so you will feel the wrap on your cheeks during use, without any real neck support.
In addition to these issues, the item is heavy on the neck when you attempt to get up from using this item; not an issue for most buyers but with chronic neck pain it is something to note.
My suggestion: do NOT purchase this item. I'll admit I was swayed by the company name, oh well.
Good points: the cover material is very soft and the owner is able to remove liner to wash. The plumpness of the filling on the sides makes it work as a non-heated car travel pillow. Not recommended for plane travel, the item is very bulky.

This is an awful product. I wondered how hard could it be to make a microwavable heating pad but Happy Company sure messed up with mine. This wrap smelled absolutely awful every time I used it, despite having removed the scent pouch before the first use. I would describe it as a burnt rice smell, even though I only microwaved according to instructions. I tried to bare with the smell because I really needed the heat therapy, however the neckwrap barely lasted even a week. Tonight it started popping in the microwave, and was still popping half an hour later. My entire house smelled awful because of this. Complete waste of money. I have a neckwrap from another manufacturer which I love, but The Happy Company disappointed me greatly.

Love this relaxing product. It is quick to zap in the microwave and take 10. Unheated, it makes for a great travel pillow. Would make a great gift. I didn't like the scent part, however. It can be pulled out.
