The verdict is still out on this product for me. I've got combination skin, and I feel like this moisturizer may be a bit heavy for me. I can "feel" it on my skin after application (which I hate) and my face seems greasier than usual through out the day. (So far I've been using oil absorbing sheets in a hope to counteract the grease). Luckily it doesn't seem like I've had any break out's as a result. Personally, I don't think it smells at all... I've only been using it for a few days, so I guess I'll give it a few more.

I am not allergic to anything, and have never had allergic reactions to any kind of product before... but this was awful! At first it made my skin tingle, then i went to bed - the next morning i looked sunburned and puffy and my skin was itchy... I was like this for at least 3-4 days, after which my skin started to breakout in tiny weepy bubbles. It cleared eventually but I would never buy this product. Philosophy have always made wonderful products but there is something really wrong in this one.

I used Philosophy products before and loved them all. When I tried the Hope in a Jar, the smell was aweful. (I thought I got a bad batch of the formula or something). I tried to ignore the smell, but my boyfriend won't even come next to my face when I'm wearing it because he also can't stand the smell. The product works great on my skin, though. If only it was odorless, I would recommend this to everyone, but I unfortunately I can't.

People who meet me are shocked that I am 52 years old. That wasn't always the case. Hope makes my skin creamy and glowing!

I admit it. I have been a fickle customer. I have tried dozens of moisturizers and I have thrown away dozens of barely used containers after they sat in the cabinet untouched for months. They were all too something: too heavy, too greasy, too perfumy, etc. This is the FIRST ever jar of moisturizer that I have used all of. I personally love the smell although I can't describe it. It has a whipped consistency and very little is required to cover your face and neck. The 2oz jar has lasted me over 6 months. The feel is light and silky and when you use it morning and night your face retains that feeling all the time. I LOVE this stuff and will definitely be buying more.
