5 out of 5 stars Confused by the Negativity on this Site   August 13, 2008

I've used this product for about 6 months, and I think it is fabulous. It is really light and while it does have a mild smell that reminds me a little of old-fashioned cold cream, it really is mild and goes away as soon as it dries on your face. You do have to wait a bit to apply makeup after you put it on, but that isn't a big deal. I just get a cup of coffee while I wait. I really love this product. I've never got a rash or watery eyes or had it make me break out, and it is very soft. My skin is very sensitive and I get acne, but I've never had a problem with this product. I'm confused as to whether there was a bad batch circulated by amazon, b/c i don't get the reviews here. Also, i can't imagine this product getting flaky near the end as someone said; it is always smooth and soft I'm at the end of my jar now. So, I recommend it completely.

1 out of 5 stars No hope for my skin...   August 6, 2008

I don't get how you can have a one formula for all skin types, it really makes no sense, and I believe that more that I have bought and tried this product. This stuff might be great if you have normal skin, but who really does? My skin is dry, and this product, even with it slathered on did not provide me with enough moisture. My friend with oily skin who used it said it made her break out. Not to keen on the smell or the texture, either.

1 out of 5 stars don't know what the hype is all about   August 5, 2008

Nothing any different from any other moisturizer, in fact, much less. I used the entire jar and there was no real benefit at all, which is why I wonder why it remains a bestseller in Amazon. All hype, nothing more..

2 out of 5 stars Ok moisturizer, foul smell   July 13, 2008

I can't say this is the best moisturizer I've ever used. It's keeps my skin from drying, but it doesn't give my skin the "i can't stop touching my cheeks" suppleness and softness that soem other moisturizers have. Also, towards the end of the jar, the consistency became increasingly flaky/filmy, which I did not like. But even then, I would say it's an ok 3-star moisturizer. Not having SPF is a huge drawback (although they now came out with one with SPF).

What I couldn't stand was the smell. To me, it had a strong sulfuric smell, like bad eggs. Not enough to gag or anything, but enough to grimace. And it lingered for a couple hours. My boyfriend didn't like the smell either, so I'm pretty sure it's not that I alone have a weird sense of smell. I kept using the product until I finished it because of it's rave reviews and purported benefits, but after using it on a consistant daily basis, I don't notice any miraculous effects on my skin and I certainly didn't get used to the smell.

I moved on to a moisturizer that leaves my skin supple and soft, has SPF, and is fragrance-less (or very lightly perfumed).

5 out of 5 stars OK for my Super Sensitive Skin But Not Outstanding   June 16, 2008
I am allergic and sensitive to almost all skin creams--mass market, upscale, if it has retinol I'm a gonner. BUT I don't want to look old and unkempt because I have to anticipate working with the public until my early 70's. So this product is one that I can use twice a day with no negative reaction. It does cause my eyes to water so I don't use it around the eye area. I don't look great--like I've had surgery, but it does give a nice texture, balances dry/senstive/oily areas and allows my makeup to go on well and stay. I will continue to use this product over anything else because of my lack of allergic reactions.
