 No need for black out drapes!!! August 26, 2008
Finally I can sleep! This mask really does block out the light. And for the price, you can't beat it. I love that I can open my eyes with it on and it is pitch black. A little light can creep in under the nose but I've gotten used to it. If I use it during the day, I will place a folded kleenex across the bridge of my nose before putting the mask on. Voila! No light whatsoever. I just love this contoured sleep mask.

The strap for this uses velcro. The "adjustability" of it is negligible. They could have done so much better with just a regular elastic strap. The velcro piece leaves a hard area that sometimes discourages me from sleeping on my back and side sleeping with this doesn't work fabulously. Also depending on how soft your pillow case is, any open velcro might stick to it.
It does keep out light very well (the nose thing isn't really a big deal). The eye-bulges are a welcome addition and for the price it's pretty awesome! If you are looking for something that is extremely comfortable and blocks out absolutely every bit of light, I might suggest looking elsewhere.

I actually bought the pink "women's" version of this sold at WalMart before finding out that Amazon had it in black - and cheaper too! My only complaint about it is that the band seems to be designed for heads larger than mine - or maybe it's that I prefer a super snug fit that blocks out all light. I plan to buy several of these for other friends as gifts. Great product.
