5 out of 5 stars Amazing product...fully recommend it.   May 4, 2008
This product has completely cured my 3 year old son's molluscum. He had about 30 of them and they were just continuing to spread. After spending over $200 between office visits and numerous refills of a prescription called Aldara (which didn't work at all), I was desperate to find something that worked. I was skeptical of buying something off the internet but I felt that at that point I had nothing to lose. Within a month the bumps were all dried up and just red marks on his skin. They are now all fading fast. I actually only applied the zymaderm once a day for about a month and that was all it took. I am so happy I tried it. My son is happy too becuase he will look at his skin and shout that his bumps are gone! The only downfall is that it smells really bad! But it is totally worth it.

1 out of 5 stars Beware of Fine Print   April 29, 2008
It may not be fair for me to give this product such a low rating, but I suspect that is the best way to get other potential consumers to read the review. We purchased the product for our son based his pediatrician's recommendation and the online claims of it being safe, non-toxic, etc. We began applying the product as soon as it arrived and after three or four days it appeared to be working but on the fifth day my son woke up covered from head to toe in hives. A trip to the emergency room revealed he was having an allergic reaction to Zymaderm and once we stopped using the product and gave him some Benadryl the hives quickly went away, however, he now has scabs on those partially treated areas and we are not sure what the result will be when they heal. A look at the fine print on the bottle indicates there is iodine in the product, to which many people have allergic reactions, especially those with allergies to shellfish. The warning label in the package also indicates there is a 1 in 3,000 chance of having an allergic reaction and, unfortunately, my son was the exception rather than the rule. So, I don't really know if the product works as well as others claim or not, but I would warn people to read the fine print before trying it.

1 out of 5 stars seek a dermatologist   April 14, 2008

I cannot recommed this product, I decided to talk to a Dermatologist before I purchased OTC meds. For others with Molluscum (MC) I highly recommend you talk to a Dermatologist and right away. My daughter had very small papules under her arm for months, one started mutating and burst and that is when I decided to seek a dermatologist. My pediatrician recommended the wait it out method, I just couldn't see how "nothing" could be done. The dermatologist starting by using cryo-surgery (freezing the papules- very non-evasive procedure) which makes the virus react, they then have you use Retin-A which makes the virus react, so the papules "Pop" the Retin-A can cause dermitis so they give a mild cortisone to use if the Retin-A bothers the skin. The process is long but has kept the virus well contained. You get lots of the medicine so while it may be expensive (depends on your RX plan)it lasts forever. We are on 3 months under the Retin-A and the Molluscom is almost gone. It has not spread to my younger daughter, the only problem it has caused is a little embarrasment while changing at ballet. I tried different less expensie OTC meds like aloe, etc and they all made the MC worse. I also read that some OTC cortisone creams can spread the virus. It is a virus, it has to run it's course and Retin-A makes the course run a little tidier and faster. Good-luck

5 out of 5 stars Excellent!   April 11, 2008
My eight year old son had an outbreak on his right arm and was told by the dr. that it would just go away in time (a long time). I saw ZymaDerm on Amazon and decided to try it. Now, his arm is just about completely clear of all "m.c." I just ordered a second bottle because another outbreak has started on his right leg. This is an excellent product that I highly recommend with no discomfort for my son.

1 out of 5 stars Does not work   April 8, 2008
I feel like this product is a rip off because it does not work as it says it does.
