 Chocolate bars are good September 8, 2008

I only eat the chocolate bars. I appreciate the gluten free, egg free, dairy free ingredients. It is hard to get much that tastes good with these ingredient restrictions.. I love brownies and these bars taste sort of like stale brownies. That is a compliment. I like them. I have tried other "healthy" bars that are a lot worse.
I use them as quick snacks. I wish they had more than the 5 grams of protein.

I bought the fruit flavored multipack from LaraBar and liked them. I was so excited to try these. I'm disappointed to say the least. I don't know what I'll do with this big pack, they'll likely go to waste. Neither myself, my husband or my kids will eat these. Not good.

I really like the other flavors of Larabars so I expected to like these too, but for some reason the chocolate doesn't work for me. The texture is different and the flavor seems rather bitter.

I'm a fan of most of the Larabar fruit and nut bars, so despite the bad reviews I've read from some of the other reviewers I figured they couldn't be that bad. Well, they are that bad. I can't even make myself eat them because they are "healthier" snack. I would not recommend if you are looking for something chocolately or if you are just looking for a snack. I needed to eat something after these just to get the awful taste out of my mouth! None of the 3 flavors were palatable, Larabar really missed with these.

I love the Lara Bars so I thought I would give this a try. Absolutely terrible. I won't spend the money on them.
