Not so great November 18, 2008 I purchased this in a Philosophy sample kit. I used it while on vacation because the bottles were small enough to get on the airplane with. During vacation it worked wonderfully but I was in a cold climate where I didn't sweat much. When I got home it quickly became inadequate for controlling my oil & acne. It wouldn't cut the oil on my face enough to wash it off :-( Which makes me sad because I liked it so much while on vacation I bought the HUGE bottle and now I can't use it..
My cleanser for the rest of my life November 11, 2008 I started using this product 3 1/2 years ago after my wedding. It has been the gateway to many other products in the Philosophy line. At 32 years old, my skin looks great and I know it will stay looking young. I recommend the entire line.
A pleasant, clean feeling. October 19, 2008 Purity Made Simple gives you clean, smooth skin. It has a very pleasant, light scent.
This Product is named Purity for a reason... October 18, 2008 Purity has the correct name...simple to use, cleanses the skin and tones it at same time leaving my 50 some year old face feeling soft and smooth. Highly recommended, haved ordered it several times after using numerous well known cleansers.
Not Paraben free!!!! What are parabens you ask......... August 24, 2008 4 out of 6 found this comment useful.
Parabens are a group of compounds widely used in cosmetics, lotions, moisturizers & even mascara. Parabens are absorbed through the skin from you moisturizer etc. Measurable concentrations of six types of parabens have been identified in biopsy samples of breast tumors. Infact in one test, 20 out of 20 breast tumors showed high levels of parabens. They don't know why but are now doing extensive research to see if there is a link. Cosmetic companies use parabens, also seen as Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben & Butylparaben, as preservatives in their products to give them a longer shelf life. These ingredients will be found near the bottom of you ingredients label. Parabens have also been shown to mimick estrogen like effects in the body which plays havick on your endocrine levels which regulate your hormones & thyroid. Olay Regenerist products are loaded with them, Clinique & abviously Philosphy. They will continue using these until the FDA confirms that there is a link to Cancer. Why wait!!! Research for yourself. Check your labels. There are safe Preservative free lines out there.
