 Disgusting, and man, what a letdown November 23, 2008
Normally, I love Philosophy. I use the Purity cleanser every day. I have several of the 3-in-1s, and I use those to wash my hair, as they give me really great body. And I love their scents.
But this . . . this reeks. I don't understand why they can have such lovely smelling products and then this, which is one of their flagship items. Even the foot lotion smells good. Hope in a Jar smells so bad I can't even use it.
Some people were able to stick it out for a few days and wound up with a rash. I can't even wear it once, which might have saved me from some nasty discomfort in the end. So, good, I guess? Ugh.
Other than that tenuous positive, I just cannot find a single saving "grace" (ha) for this product.

As someone with very dry skin, I was tired of moisturizers that were too thick and goopy. Hope in a Jar, on the other hand, is excellent! I have been using it for a couple of years now, and still love it. It's very light and absorbs quickly, but makes my skin feel moisturized all day. My skin has never had an allergic reaction to it, either.

HOPE IN A JAR IS AMAZING!!! I have very sensitive skin that is VERY prone to breakouts... from having acne for a few years I have dark acne scars all over my cheeks and chin.. I have to wear alot of coverup and foundation to cover it all up! Since using hope in a Jar I can already see a MAJOR difference in my skin and its only been 3 days!!! My skin is brighter, my darks spots are fadding and my acne is going away! Having bad skin at my age (23) is very stressful, and hope in a jar has given me TONS OF HOPE that my skin will eventually be acne free and beautiful! I am getting that glow back and 100% getting my confidence back! I am suprised at the other reviews that state this product has a horrible smell.. it absolutley DOES NOT have a bad smell to it.. It smeels like citrus lemons and it Goes away in seconds.
The product is a little expensive but a little goes along way, the product sinks into your skin like water, it makes your skin feel and look sooooooo soft! I have tried TONS AND TONS of products and I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who has ANY TYPE of SKIN.. I believe this would help anyone who has good or bad skin! ITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

This moisturizer is AMAZING!! The best benefit is the way it totally changes the texture and appearance of the complexion. My skin had never looked so radiant and beautiful. I no longer have acne....my skin is perfecT!!! I never knew it could look this good honestly. I love that there is no greasy film, my makeup stays put all day long and it does not make me itch like other moisturizers have. It is AMAZING!!!!! No wonder so many people rave about it. It is the best!!!! Definitely worth the money. Ive been using it about 2.5 weeks, and it is so exciting!!!

I really cannot believe the poor reviews I have just read about this product! Surely most of these people must be using something different - I have used Hope in a Jar for over 2 years now and my skin has never been better. I am 43, I previously suffered from extremely sensitive/touchy dry skin prone to breakouts and have found this to be the perfect remedy for it. The texture is great - sinks in very quickly, and a little goes a long way. As for the smell - I am known to have a really strong sense of smell (there are not many perfumes I can wear as they make me feel ill and headachy)there is nothing offensive about the smell of this cream at all, it's very slight and disapears as soon as you've applied it.
I would highly recommend trying this for yourselves, don't be put off by these awful reviews. Hope in a Jar is wonderful!
