5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product!   November 16, 2008
These are great earplugs. I use them every night to block out the sounds of my roommate snoring, and it significantly minimizes any other sound there is, such as tv, music, vacuum.... everything. This is an excellent product and I'd recommend it to anyone.

5 out of 5 stars These are the best earplugs I've used   November 6, 2008

I've tried a lot of earplugs and these are by far the best. There is a trick to their usage, they MUST make a suction in your ear (air tight), otherwise they won't work well at all. I think a lot of the problems people are having is due to this. They are also very effective for keeping water out while swimming as I use them 3 times a week for this as well. As other people have mentioned they get dirty quickly, but I can get about 2 weeks worth of usage per pair.

4 out of 5 stars I keep coming back to these earplugs   October 19, 2008

I have been using these earplugs, off and on, as long as I've been married (15 years). Every so often I try some of the other earplugs on the market, the ones with higher decibel ratings, but nothing has been as overall-effective at blocking out my husband's snoring. The softer more cylindrical-shaped plugs always seem to pop out; no matter what I do I just can't get them positioned properly so that they're comfortable and effective.

These wax ones aren't perfect (I don't know if perfection exists) but they're as close to perfect for me as I've been able to find. FYI: In addition to earplugs (no matter which ones I've used) I also use a white noise machine.

Likes
1. I find it easy to soften them up with my warm hands and then mold them to my ear opening. Because of this ease they are more effective to me than a pair of plugs that have a higher decibel rating but don't fit my ears properly.
2. I can make them lie flat and flush with my ear opening, which was a big plus when I used to sleep on my side. The other kinds of plugs always stuck out too far for me to sleep easily on my side.
3. I find them very comfortable to wear.

Dislikes
1. They're expensive to buy and don't last very long.
2. Everything sticks to them so they get dirty fairly quickly (mine typically last 3-4 days).
3. If I don't dry the insides of my ears well before inserting them, my ears stay moist and can get itchy - they're as good at keeping moisture in as they are at keeping moisture out!

1 out of 5 stars (Probably) good for swimming, not noise reduction!   October 15, 2008
I don't know how it can still be on the market, very little noise reduction and very difficult to use! It might be good with waterproofing, but never tried myself.
