Getting Started with NicoDerm CQPreparing to quit is important, take some time to do it right.Select the NicoDerm CQ that's right for you. If you smoke more than 10 cigarettes per day: start with Step 1, 10 or less cigarettes per day: start with Step 2. Enroll in the Committed Quitters program to receive individualized support. Pick a quit date and mark your calendar. Apply one NicoDerm CQ patch on the morning of your quit date. Remove backing from patch and immediately press onto skin. Hold for 10 seconds. At the same time everyday, remove the old patch and apply a new one, in a new location. Read the back panel and User's Guide for complete information.NicoDerm CQ is a small, nicotine-containing patch. When you put on a NicoDerm CQ patch, nicotine passes through the skin and into your body. NicoDerm CQ is very thin and uses special material to control how fast nicotine passes through the skin. I was a smoker for over 10 years. I purchased this when I wanted to quit smoking and it worked so well. I have now been a non smoker for 2 years. I followed the plan and set a date.I told as many people as I could so that every time I wanted to cave in to a craving I would know I would have to face all those people and tell them I had failed. I also bought cinniman sticks. You can suck on them and they are the shape of a ciggarette and the taste of the cinniman is soothing and gets you through those tough cravings. One thing to remind yourself is that by giving in your cravings you go back to the startline , So wether you have one hr or two weeks under your belt try to tough it out keep that time under your belt its very dicouraging to have to start from scratch. If it does happen though just pick yourself up and start again. It feels really good to be a nosmoker, I never want to be smoker again.

I was a horrific smoker for 22 years - I smoked well over a pack and a half a day... I am not proud but with the aid of the patch. I quit! I am now entering my 38th week with out a smoke...not even a drag! I encourage others but I don't preach... nobody likes and ex-smoker :) Just remember that what your doing is hard at the end of step one if you do not feel you can handle going to step two...stay on step one and extra week or two..everyone's different and we all can't follow the schedule on the box. Do what feels right for you! I went from Step one to step two and I couldn't handle it...I was cranky and I cried and... I stepped back up to Step one for an extra week and I was fine! Give it a try and All the best of luck to you.... and if you screw up you screw up ... take a deep breath and try it again :)

I was smoker by 15 years and 20 daily cigarettes, since I start to smoke for the first time I have stop smoke without the anxiety and the bad humor that usually happens.
Nicoderm CQ is amazing... 28 days without smoking is wonderful!
