5 out of 5 stars Shirley YP   November 10, 2008
Best thing that could have happened to my 90 yr old mother was for me to find this product. She loves it because it gives her plenty energy and she is no longer cold most of the time.

5 out of 5 stars IRON WOMAN!!   November 8, 2008
Floradix has greatly improved my quality of life. Seriously.Having been a vegetarian for nearly 15 years, in retrospect, I believe that I was iron deficient for most of them. Insufficient iron intake in my diet combined with low-absorption levels from my multi-vitamin most certainly contributed to my persistent fatigue. Before taking Floradix, I always felt like I was moving in slow motion, especially during my menstrual cycle. My acupuncturist recently recommended that I use this product. I've been taking it for nearly two months now and have noticed a vast improvement in my energy level. I feel like a new woman. Seriously. Even husband and friends have noticed a difference.

5 out of 5 stars Veggie Calcium supplement.   October 21, 2008
These is the best vegetarian Iron supplement. I have tried and it does not upset my stomach like iron tablets and taste great so you can give to children and they would like it. As a Semi-veggie it is important to find and use vegetarian supplements.

5 out of 5 stars ideal supplement (and great for pregnancy)   October 15, 2008
Great for Pregnancy: Several common pregnancy complaints deal with an impacted digestive system. With this supplement, I could hardly believe my luck - no more problems with supplement-related nausea or constipation! In addition, it does not contain artificial preservatives, most of which pass right through the placenta to babies.

Effectiveness: Having a history of mild, yet persistent, iron-deficiency anemia, I was worried that this might not be sufficient to meet my pregnancy needs. However, it is now the beginning of my 9th month and I've maintained my iron levels in the normal range since switching to exclusive Floradix use in the third month. Normal iron levels were a hit or miss thing, for me, even before I became pregnant. I plan on using this stuff post pregnancy too.

Use: I've worked at keeping my diet nutritionally rich, which is why I can do without additional supplementation. However, enough iron really does seem impossible to obtain from diet alone, especially since calcium-rich foods are supposed to be eaten a few hours apart from iron-rich stuff, since they can inhibit iron absorption.
As far as the Floradix taste goes, as one other reviewer mentioned, taking it, or 'chasing' it, with a few swallows of juice (in my case cherry juice) effectively gets rid of the bitter aftertaste. Also, the vitamin C (which Floradix already contains) assists with iron absorption.

5 out of 5 stars It works   September 21, 2008
I had low ferritin which means my iron stores are low although I am not anemic. I have been using this product for two months and my stores are up 50%. No constipation and it's a lot nicer to drink a liquid than to pop a pill. Highly recommended.
